New Girl’s Max Greenfield Does His Best Newsies Impression
That’s above. Here he talks to us about his e-crush on Lena Dunham and his absurdly precocious Bar Mitzvah theme. Then he comforts us about our terribly geeky Bat Mitzvah theme. (#JewslovingJews) A snippet below:

GQ: Did you have a Bar Mitzvah? Max Greenfield: I did! We have an episode where I reveal what the theme of my Bar Mitzvah on the show. And I did this whole thing on Twitter asking, “please tweet me what the theme of your bar mitzvah was,” and it was one of the funniest things I’d ever done on twitter.GQ: What were the best responses? Max Greenfield: Mine was—and I don’t know how I got away with this because most of my childhood was so embarrassing—but mine was Saturday Night Live. Some people’s responses were insane. “I had a James Bond Bar Mitzvah.” Or “I had a Midnight in Paris…” Are you Jewish?GQ: I am. Mine was really embarrassing. Star Wars. Max Greenfield: Oh, wow. I love you so much.GQ: And I had no boys there so I was just dancing with a cardboard cutout of Luke Skywalker the whole time. It was really, really sad. Max Greenfield: Oh my god, can I give you a big hug?GQ: Yes! Thank you. Did you have Saturday Night Live-themed party favors? Max Greenfield: On every table there was like the SNL logo with the faces of the different cast members who were currently on the show. So I think at the time it was like Spade, Chris Farley, Dennis Miller, Chris Rock, all those guys. It was the only cool thing I had going for me at the time. And then we had a Blues Brothers cake.

Well well well.
